I love cleaning with steam. Previously HomeRight has sent me a SteamMachine that I used to clean almost every surface of my house. It was awesome! I cleaned my oven, which was totally gross, but was so easy with the use of steam. I was able to get my brand new curtains wrinkle free. My shower doors became clearer and my faucets beautifully shiny. Cleaning with steam is definitely the way to go. The only thing missing from the HomeRight Steam Machine was a mop.
Now, HomeRight has a SteamMachine Plus Multi-Purpose Steam Mop.
The SteamMachine Plus Multi-Purpose Steam Mop from HomeRight is ideal for quick, daily, chemical-free cleaning. This multi-purpose steam mop heats up quickly and is great for quick daily floor cleaning. The SteamMachine Plus features a detachable hand-held steamer. The included 6 attachments are ideal for cleaning and disinfecting stovetops, ovens, grills, countertops and bathrooms. The 205 degree temperature steam at nozzle kills 99.9 percent of germs and bacteria including e-coli, salmonella, and staph. The handle folds down for easy storage and also features on-demand steam trigger on handle, plus a cord wrap on the handle. The floor mop and pad features a swivel triangular mop head for added maneuverability. Use the SteamMachine Plus to disinfect your hard floor surfaces; such as laminate, hardwood, tile, stone, vinyl and linoleum.
I would consider the main purpose of this steam machine to be as a steam mop, but as you read in the description it does include 6 other attachments so it can be used as a multi-purpose cleaner and sanitizer. I think that would be awkward to use it besides a mop, plus the water canister isn’t very big so it would have to be refilled a lot.
I am actually experienced when it comes to steam mopping my floor so I felt quite qualified to review this HomeRight SteamMachine Plus. I actually did have a couple of issues with this particular mop. First is that it is a “dry” mop meaning there isn’t an extra cleaner you use on the floor. The steam is what is doing 100% of the cleaning, which is fine since it kills 99.9% of bacteria, but for my own peace of mind I love a steam mop with an additional cleaner. Second, on the handle of the mop is where you can to push in the trigger to get the steam to release. This particular trigger actually has to be pushed in deeper than the handle so you can’t just use a rubber band on the handle while you mop. You have to keep actively pushing in the trigger, hard, so that it all the way in and the steam releases. I had to keep switching hands because holding the trigger in that far kept hurting my hands. Third, the rounded corner is quite useless. A square mop actually fits into corners better and the rounded edges made it so I wasn’t quite getting all along the floor boards in my house.
After I was done mopping, the floor did look very nice. I think the mop actually did a fantastic job cleaning despite it’s quirks. Once plugged in the water is heated and ready to be made into steam quite quickly so there isn’t a lot of waiting around. As I previously mentioned there are attachments so you can use this as a multi-purpose steam cleaner around your house, including your carpets. For $124.99 that is a great price for a versatile cleaning tool.
You can check out the HomeRight SteamMachine Plus on the HomeRight website, learn more about its attachments and purchase it right from the site.

On or around December 10th we received this machine, BROKEN, we have tried numerous times with phone calls and texts to get it replaced or our money back. They have totally ignored us but yet took our money. At one point in time they told us it was Amazons fault so we called them and still nothing. What a lousy way to do business, hope you’re having fun with our money. We are notifying the Better Business Beaura of this situation. Thanks a lot.
