These cute Halloween decorations can be made very quickly and very cheaply. I am a HUGE fan of a 30 minute or less craft! They are simply used bowling pins (donated to me by my local bowling alley) white spray paint, cheese cloth, black paint pen, mod podge, and brown stain. It is as easy as it looks.GHOST When you acquire used bowling pins, they are usually pretty banged up. I don't bother filling in the wholes or gashes, but I do spray paint them all white. Most of my bowling pin … [Read more...]

We love July 4th!
I hope your Independence Day was as AWESOME as ours! We had a pretty big gathering with my Mom and Dad, 11 Kids and 21 Grandkids, along with a couple of family friends. We started off the morning by attending our church's annual flag raising ceremony by our local boy scouts (very patriotic) and pancake breakfast. From there, we went to the zoo! Woot! This has become somewhat of a tradition over the last 7 years. By the time we left, we were all hot, sweaty (it was only 103F that day…) and … [Read more...]

Easter Decor!
Since we got a jump-start on our egg dying, I went through BHG and picked out my favorite decorating ideas. I tweaked different ways of egg-dying and different décor ideas to turn them into projects that I thought we could do with supplies that we already had.The first idea is natural died eggs on a cute egg tree! We blew out our eggs by poking a hole in each end and blowing. (Super gross and messy!) Then we tried to dye our eggs from natural ingredients. To make lavender, mix 1 cup of grape … [Read more...]
