Caramel Kiss Cookie Bites

To get started you need a mini muffin pan. After I made these, they went hard on the second day, so I would recommend baking the cookie bites in mini muffin papers as well.

Ingredients

2 1/4 cups flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1/2 cup butter or margarine

1/2 cup shortening

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 eggs

48 caramel Hershey Kisses

Directions

Preheat 350 degrees.

Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, shortening, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

Fill mini muffin cups 2/3 full of dough. Bake 8 minutes. Place Caramel Hershey Kiss upside down in each cookie bite and bake 2 more minutes. Remove from mini muffin tins quickly so stop continued baking from the hot pan. Store in tightly covered container.
