Disclosure: I’m so happy to team up with YesVideo to discuss how their services saved my precious memories. All opinions are 100% my own.
If you are like most Americans you have stacks of old media that is completely outdated! Some of this media might even be on tapes or sources you can’t even play or watch anymore. With all the changes in technology, a lot of old ways of recording and capturing events are now so outdated, there isn’t a way to see them again.
When I graduated from college in 2004 we bought a camcorder as a present. You know, a camcorder – you stick in a little tape that looks like a cross between a VHS and a cassette tape. This little tape records things onto it, BUT if your camcorder breaks then you can’t play these tapes anymore. We used this camcorder to record BIG events like my graduation, my husband’s graduation, our first two children’s first baths and hospital time right after being born, my daughter’s first dance recitals and performances. All these big, important events that I want to watch, have my children watch and remember forever. Luckily our camcorder still works and so we are able to watch these tapes, but what if something happens? No need to worry. YesVideo has my special memories and yours taken care of! YesVideo accepts VHS tapes, camcorder tapes, movie film reels and 35mm slides.
I have been concerned about losing these precious memories for years but wasn’t quite sure about how to restore them to a modern way of viewing. YesVideo is a transfer service that preserves memories by making them digital. Once you send off your media you’ll get emails along the way to keep you updated on the progress of your memories. It was so exciting when I got the email saying my videos were now online! YesVideo put my, now digitized movies, in my personal account to watch. They are private and only available to me. I do have the option to share them which I think is a ton of fun. So fun, in fact, that here is a clip from my daughter’s video:
I feel so happy and such a sense of relief knowing that these memories are now preserved and available on current media. My kids have loved watching their baby movies on DVD over and over again. After school, after they finished their home I often find them downstairs watching their videos. They take turns going back and forth watch each others video. It makes my heart so happy that they now can enjoy these beautiful treasures as often as they like in a format they know how to work!
It’s time for me to start gathering up a couple more of my tapes to send off and get them digital as well. These are important family moments that I would love to last for generations to come!
If you are interested in giving the gift of digital memories this holiday season the deadline is December 2, meaning YesVideo must have your media by then in order for it to be returned in time for Christmas. I can’t image anything that would bring my family members so much joy as having our family memories preserved!
It’s so easy for you to get your order in before the holiday deadline. You can place your order at the photo counter of any Costco, Sam’s Club, Walmart or CVS/pharmacy. That’s real convenience!
YesVideo’s process is very safe & secure. They handle customers’ memories as if they were their own. Their Memory Factory contains surveillance cameras at every stage, and digital copies of the transferred videos are archived for added security. Definitely check out YesVideo and see how they can help you digitize your memories so that they’ll last a lifetime!
