Aruba – The Island With Everything You Want

August 30, 2013 By Stefanie

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority. All opinions are 100% mine.

The Beach Boys are a favorite at our house. Their song “Kokomo” was my first time learning about the island of Aruba. As I’ve grown into adulthood and began to travel the world I have learned a little more about Aruba and really have a desire to go there.

Let me tell you about some of the wonderful features that make up the island of Aruba.

Activities

The obvious favorite activities of Aruba inclue swimming, snorkleing, windsurfing, kite surfing, yatching, sailing, jet skiiing, playing on a wave runner or tubing behind a boat. Basically any water activity you can think of is available to enjoy.

Perhaps less well known is the inner rugged terrain of Arikok National Park. Take a hike on the trails, horseback ride, drive a deep through the park. All terrain vehiciles are available but be careful – safety first!

Beaches

Since it is an island there are beaches a-plenty. On the west coast of Aruba there are multiple resorts to enjoy sunbathing and all sorts of water activities. On the Caribbean side the beaches are a craggy, desert terrain. While beautiful and open to the public, swimming is not recommended.

Shopping and Restaurants

In Aruba you will find excellent shopping. With all the international brands available, you will be able to shop at 10-35% lower than in the US. There are newly constructed shopping centers that offer everything you could want like jewelry, clothing, electronics, perfume, cosmetics, china and more! Really any souvenir you want.

Aruba has world class chefs offering international cuisines. There is fine dining and casual dining. Try some food you perhaps haven’t tried before like frog legs or duck. Try food from around the world.

Aruba travel will also provide you with the opportunity to experience festivals and events. There is always something fun on the calendar to attend. The nightlife is brings a new set of experiences with bars and parties. Take a romantic sunset cruise, hit a happening pub to be in on the action or take in a movie.

Getting around Aruba is easy. There is a Bus service from the resorts to downtown. Taxis are always an option. You may also rent a car and drive as your international drivers license is accepted. Parking is free on the island so you will be able to sight see all you want.

From learning about all of these amazing amenities is it any wonder I hope that my family can one day visit Aruba. There is definitely something for everyone and it all sounds wonderful. I think it is time to start making our future plans for our Aruba vacations. Check out the Aruba website to learning more about all this beautiful location has to offer.
