A Truly Spill Proof Sippy Cup

I have reviewed a lot of sippy cups over the course of my blog. Most of them have been great for their own special reasons, but the problem with each of them is that there have been ways for each of those cups to spill. If the child shakes it hard enough, squeezes the spout spout or any other creative method of “milking” the cup and you instantly have a mess.

Tommee Tippee has introduced a new line of sippy cups for a range of ages and stages. I chose the Sporty Bottle to try out. These cups are available for purchase at Babies R Us, Target and Meijer.

These cups look at act just like a real sports bottle. The spout of the bottle is hard but since my baby has a lot of teeth these days I wasn’t worried about him gums getting hurt with the hard spout. The cup is sip activated and so there is NO chance for spilling. Before I handed this cup over to my 1 year old I tipped it upside down, shook it, tried to squeeze the spout and I couldn’t get it to leak. You might think since the spout is hard and you can only get water by sucking it out that it might be hard to use. It isn’t at all. The very first time I handed it to my baby he was able to tip it up and drink out of it normally. He also doesn’t spit water everywhere, like he does when he has a straw cup, because he is in control of how much water to put in his mouth with the tipping and sucking. He really likes those cups and prefers them to any straw cup we own.

I love that Tommee Tippee is continuously making new products that get better and better. I love this cup. To check out their full range of new cups you can visit the Tommee Tippee site.
