I love to have plenty of different teether toys around the house. Babies have such short attention spans so it is nice to have several different shapes, sizes and features on teether toys. Nuby sent me this great Jiggle Giggle vibrating teether to test out with my baby. This fun teacher has lots of different textures to help relieve a teething baby. One side of the butterfly’s wings is a purICE gel that provides a cool surface to chew on. The other side of the wings offers a gentle vibrations when you press the indents in the wings. The size and shaped of the butterfly are perfect for my baby’s little hands and little mouth.
I love this toy. My baby hasn’t quite figured out how to press the wings to get them to vibrate on his own, but he thinks it is so funny to be holding the toy when I make it vibrate. According to Nuby, this teether:
…was designed to help increase circulation in your baby’s gums, reducing discomfort and swilling associated with teething.
He really likes to chew on both sides of the wings but his favorite part of the whole toy is the ribbon antennae.
He loves to try and catch the little ribbons and get them in his mouth. I’m sure as he gets older and figures out the vibration on his own that will become his favorite feature of the toy!
This toy really entertains him. He always is smiling at the butterfly and laughing at it. It is one of his favorite toys. It is also one of my favorite toys for him because it is easy for him to hold. Some of the bigger toys I have to hand him and get his hands positioned just right to hold it, but this toy is perfect. It is easy to grip and easy to hold onto once he has it. It is also really easy to clean with a wipe since it is small and all plastic and rubber.
