When I went to Los Angeles for the Disney Planes Premiere we were able to see a couple scenes (some unfinished) from Disney’s upcoming movie Frozen. I knew just from the 20 minutes of the movie that we saw, that this was going to be my new favorite Disney movie. The characters are lovable and relatable. Some of them are hilarious!
This movie was inspired by the Hans Christian Anderson story “Snow Queen”. Walt Disney himself wanted to do “The Snow Queen” but it never happened so this is a nice little tribute to one of his dreams.
Some interesting facts about the making of Frozen:
- The team visited an ice hotel in Canada to get up close and person with ice. They really studied how it looked, how it worked with light and learned all about ice.
- The team found some snow and wore dresses in it to see how they moved. In order to really animate Anna and Elsa in the snow they needed to know how clothes would behave. There were some funny photos of some male team members in dresses in the snow!
We were able to hear 2 songs and they were incredible! One of them will definitely be a dance party song with my kids in the kitchen (because that is where the dance parties happen)! This picture is from one of my favorite scenes in the movie. If this doesn’t intrigue you as to what happens in this film, nothing will! 🙂
Granted I haven’t seen the whole movie so I don’t know how it ends, but so far, that was one of my favorite parts. It is incredibly funny!
Also the sister’s Elsa and Anna are so lovely. I feel like even though I don’t have the problems they have, I can relate with them. They seem so real. Check out how beautiful this animation is.
Today is a big day because a NEW trailer for Frozen is being released. You can watch it now:
Another favorite part of Disney movies for my family is the shorts. We LOVE the shorts! Frozen is going to feature a spectacular short called “Get a Horse”. This is an amazing film by itself. I was blessed to be in the first audience in the country to see this darling short. It is special for several reasons. The first being that Walt Disney will be in the credits as the voice of Mickey. I had chills hearing his voice in the movie. The second is that this short is in 3D and that makes everything more fun! This short has a very clever story line and is pretty much the most amazing short you will ever see, so you definitely need to head to theaters on November 27th to see both of these films!!!
