5 Easy Steps to Becoming a Princess

5-Steps-Becoming-Princess

If you have a young girl at home that is anything like mine, she would love nothing more than to be a princess. This got me thinking that it would be very fun to have a princess makeover and transform my daughter into a princess by helping her learn the qualities of a princess (in my opinion). Inspired by a plethora of #DisneyBeauties, I decided to base my steps to becoming a princess off of the Disney Princesses. My daughter thought it would be fun to be transformed into a Snow White-like character worthy of a handsome prince (ok so he’s really her brother, but they are so cute together!).

5 Easy Steps to Becoming a Princess

Before-After-Princess-Clothes

1. Dress the part.

Casual clothes are great for school or play, but when you are becoming a princess, you must dress like one. This means a lovely dress with hair accessories and jewelry. Since clothes help shape your behavior, you are more likely to act like a princess if you are dressed like one.

To get the perfect princess dress you may need to do a little shopping. My daughter and I headed to Walmart to browse their selection of Disney Princess dresses. The biggest selection we found was in the Princess Halloween Costume section.

2. Surround yourself with good company.

A true princess has upstanding friends who are probably also princesses. To become a princess you must have princess friends to play with. Good thing it is easy to come by princess friends. The toy section of Walmart can help you out if you are lacking in the royalty-for-friends department. You may also want to buy a princess movie so you can watch how another princess live. Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Diamond Edition came out on Blu-ray on October 7.

Now that you have your royal friends, put on your dress and play together! You will all look beautiful playing together in your fancy princess clothes.

3. Share your toys.

Princesses are always gracious and generous. To become a princess you must be willing to share your toys when others are interested in playing too. Having a nice attitude about sharing your toys is very important.

4. Have polite table manners.

A princess always uses a fork and knife properly to cut her food. She uses a napkin to wipe her face and hands. She says please and thank you when asking for items and receiving them. She never burps. She also thanks her hostess that provided the meal. Princesses must be polite to set a good example for those around her.

5. Beauty Sleep.

After a long day of dressing beautifully, shopping, playing with friends, sharing toys, watching movies and being polite a princess must get her beauty sleep. It is exhausting being such a fabulous princess so she needs to get plenty of sleep to begin again the next day.

I think if she gets any more beauty sleep she’ll glow! What a beautiful, sweet little princess you have there. Is she always so sweet with her brothers, or is it a result of that princess dress? #client

What a clever post and I really enjoyed reading the steps to becoming a princess. You have made some good points as it is not all coaches and tiaras. One must choose their friends wisely, be polite to others and have great table manners.
