Advent Calendars
Every year one of our Christmas traditions is to give our kids advent calendars. We usually choose toy ones, and not just the little chocolate ones. It has been a really fun thing they have looked forward to every year because it’s a surprise! I’ve already started looking around to see what are some good options for our advent calendars this year and thought I’d pass on my findings.
Advent Calendars for the sports fan
My son loves football. This year I’ve noticed several sports themed advent calendars. These are so perfect for the sports lover in your life. My son loves football for this one pictured above is my favorite of all the options, mostly because he doesn’t have these socks yet. Some of the other football advent calendars have socks he already owns. Most of the calendars include socks, keychains, tiny footballs and other little toys.
If you have someone that likes other sports there were also basketball, baseball, soccer, sports socks and fishing! The fishing one looks really cool with lots of different lures.
Hot Chocolate Advent Calendars
Since I’ll be sending an advent calendar to my daughter away at college, she doesn’t need more stuff, so an advent calendar where you eat the contents is perfect. She’s in a very cold place so I thought a variety of hot chocolates would be amazing for her. There are some fun options.
The first hot chocolate advent calendar I found was Harry Potter hot chocolate themed with several kinds of “color changing” hot chocolate along with toppings and a wand for stirring! WOW! The rest of the advent calendars were 12 days of hot chocolate including gourmet flavors, Bonboms brand with cute mini cups and fancy gift box set. It seems you can’t go wrong with any of these options!
Wicked Advent Calendar
I know a lot of people are waiting for the Wicked Advent calendar. This calendar release date is September 3o, but you can pre-order it now!! What can you expect to find inside? Stickers, keychains, patches, jewelry and more!
Plush Advent Calendars
One of the advent calendars I’m considering is plushie axolotl. Through looking at that one, I found a lot of plush and squishmallow advent calendars. You can find calendars with Christmas themed plushies or regular plushies.
Princess Advent Calendars
There are many different kinds of princess calendars. You can go for some building block ones, there are ones that have a few dolls and then lots of accessories, the new ones this year that I’m interested in are where you get 12 princess dolls (about 3 inch dolls) and 12 dresses, so you can snap off dresses and mix and match. They are really cute! There are even princess jewelry ones that are really nice.
Slime Advent Calendars
The last kind of advent calendar I want to mention is slime advent calendars. We got one last year and it was so much fun. There were so many slimes as well as add ins for each of them. Some of the slimes were scented, dessert themed, winter themed and some Christmas themed.
