Thanks to Little Clever for sponsoring this information in my Holiday Gift Guide. All opinions are 100% my own.
My family has too many devices in our home. On those devices are tons of apps that are meant to help educate, offer fun and a challenge for my kids. While we do try to limit their screen time, I am also a big fan of apps that serve a purpose. 101 Animal Puzzles from Little Clever is my new favorite app for my family (available in the Apple App Store, Amazon App Store and Google Play Store).
Why is this my new favorite app? Because of the amazing settings and features. Check it out:
★ 101 Animal Puzzles for Pre-School Children
★ Each animal has 7 levels of difficulty (from 2 to 8 jigsaw puzzle pieces)
★ Difficulty level can automatically adapt to skill level
★ Friendly voice will congratulate your child
Let me go through each of these things.
- 101 Animal puzzles. There are 9 different categories of animal puzzle, each with many puzzles under that category. For example “On the Farm” has 13 different animal puzzles.
- Parents (or older children) can adjust the difficulty of each puzzle by having the number of pieces vary from 2-8 pieces.
- AUTO ADAPT!! Yes, I am so excited about this feature. This is the most amazing feature I have ever seen in any app. There is an auto setting that allows the game to auto adjust the difficulty based on how long it takes your child to complete the puzzle. If your child finished a 2 piece puzzle in under 30 seconds, the next puzzle will have more pieces. You can also adjust how many pieces you want added with each successful completion. When I have my baby play I have it go up by 1 piece with each successful puzzle. With my older kids I have it add 2 additional pieces to the next puzzle. I LOVE that it can automatically create an appropriate challenge for each child.
- Praise for a job well done. My kids love being complimented on a job well done. My son always repeats what she says at the end and asks if we heard her? He LOVES it!
The app is easy and user friendly. When I opened it and handed it to my 21 month old son he was able to figure it out immediately. He figured out how to switch puzzles, to go back to the main menu and select a different category and was able to solve the puzzles fast enough to get up to 4 pieces. Then the puzzles presented a challenge and so with the auto adjust settings he stayed between 3-4 pieces and it was perfect for him!
Watch this game trailer, then you can really get a love for this game!

Oh, this brings back memories! My kids LOVED puzzle apps when they were preschool age. This app has way more features than the ones we used a few years ago. Love the Grown-Ups Menu. 🙂
