10-Ways-Use-Duct-Tape
There seems to be this ongoing joke that duct tape can fix anything. Well the truth is, it is pretty handy to have when you are in a pinch. Duct tape can practical for many tasks around the home, garage, and office; you just need to know how to use it. Take a look below at 10 ways to use duct tape and brush up on your duct tape knowledge. You might just find that you never want to be stuck without it again!

1. Repair a hole.
Duct tape offers a temporary fix for holes in air mattresses and inflatable toys. Just snip off a piece of tape and apply it over the hole. You will find that it will seal the hole and keep air in.

2. Hold broken glass.
When a window breaks, create an X with duct tape over the broken glass to hold it in place until a repair can be made. You can also make a sticky ball by rolling up some duct tape, then use it to pick up slivers of glass on the floor.

3. Warm up work boots.
Duct tape is nice and shiny, so when the sun beats down on it, it will heat up. Wrap your snow boots with duct tape to keep your toes nice and toasty. It will also help to waterproof them.

4. Secure your screens.
Are pests becoming a problem? Use a little duct tape over splits and tears in your screens. It will help seal the split and keep bugs out instead of in.

5. Repair a leaky hose.
You can fix a leaky hose when you use duct tape around the leaky spot. It is a temporary fix but will do the job until you can replace the hose.

6. Get decorative.
Duct tape comes in so many colors and patterns now. Use it to dress up old flower pots, old coasters, shoe boxes, and anything else you can think of. It is as easy as tearing a piece off and applying it. It can make any surface look colorful and new.

7. Use as a lint remover.
A piece of duct tape pressed to your clothing can help remove hair, dust, lint, and other small items that hang on. This is a great way to make sweaters and dark clothing especially look like new.

8. Close food packaging.
If you need to secure food packaging for a trip, camping, or even in your home, use duct tape to get the job done.  Just cut a piece and adhere it to the opening of the package.

9. Make a super gripper.
Ball up a piece of duct tape and attach it to the end of a yard stick. You now have a super gripper to reach any small items that you can’t access with your hand.

10. Make work space labels.
Use duct tape and marker to create work space labels. They will hold up to the wear and tear and are great for marking tools, hardware, and more in your work space.
