- 11/4 lb grass-fed ground beef
- 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp pepper
- 12 slices bacon
- 6 cups (or more) chopped romaine lettuce
- 2 ripe avocados, chopped
- 1 large tomato, chopped
- 1/2 large red onion, chopped
Mix ground beef, salt and pepper; shape into 5 large thin patties. Cook over medium heat in a nonstick skillet 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink; cool and coarsely crumble. Cook bacon in a large skillet until crisp; coarsely crumble. Combine lettuce, crumbled hamburger, bacon, avocados, tomato and onion; toss. Serve in bowls with desired condiments such as balsamic vinegar and Dijon mustard.
